The Rising Festival, Worcester – 10th – 16th October 2022
The Rising is coming to Worcester. A new free 7-day cultural festival dedicated to tattooing, fashion and gaming which brings new opportunities for young adults to explore art and culture in unexpected ways. From a tattoo exhibition to a fashion show, from panel discussions to VR experiences, The Rising promises a unique mix of events, taking place in locations across Worcester City Centre.
Attendees can expect interactive and immersive experiences, industry discussions, and exciting performances from local musicians. Worcester-based independent hospitality venues are getting involved too, with Pizza Freakz designing and creating a new pizza called ‘Rising High’ and The Oil Basin brewing their own event-specific beer. Produced for, by, and with young adults in Worcester, the festival is unlike anything the city has seen before. Set on a ‘blink-and-you’ll-miss-it’ premise, The Rising encourages participation in an exclusive club, using unusual locations and cryptic clues to challenge perceptions of space and culture in Worcester.
