with Minus Pilots + Moss Grotto
7th June – Arch 27, Croft Walk, Worcester
Advance ticket available online from £5
We’re thrilled to announce that touring artists Good Weather For an Airstrike (GWFFA) and Minus Pilots have added a Worcester date to their tour! Expect huge cinematic soundscapes, thumping post-rock crescendos, and ambient immersion.
Since being founded by Winchester-based Tom Honey to help alleviate the issues he faced while suffering from tinnitus, GWFAA’s ambient music has been streamed over 40 million times on Spotify as well as receiving airtime on BBC Introducing, Channel 4, KEXP and ABC Radio National.
GWFAA’s work draws on all of his musical influences and presents itself as a rich tapestry of lulling drones that hints at a diluted form of post-rock with structures combined with electronica-inspired soundscapes and field recordings to produce an immersive listening experience.
Supported by tour partners Minus Pilots with Cinematic experiments, minimalist atmospheres, melodic fragments and soaring crescendos that rise from silence into overwhelming sonic climaxes.
Local experimental music project Moss Grotto from Worcester open the evening with their brand of Ambient, drone, post-rock, and noise. Guitar-led sound with crackling electronics and shambling tape loops, all set set to bring an atmospheric show to Arch 27 right next door to SLAP magazine HQ! This show is perfect for fans of artists like Boards of Canada, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Tim Hecker, MONO, and more.
