Morgan Fisher live at The Marr’s Bar, Worcester
Thursday 16th October 2025
£15 in advance, £19 on the door
You are warmly invited to join Morgan Fisher for an evening of songs and stories from his remarkable and varied career in music.
Morgan first came to prominence in 1968 with The Love Affair, whose single Everlasting Love reached number one in the UK charts. In the early seventies he went on to form the progressive rock band Morgan with Tim Staffell (formerly of Smile, Queen’s predecessor), and later joined the avant-garde Third Ear Band before becoming a key member of Mott the Hoople. With hits such as All the Young Dudes, the band enjoyed international success, including a week of sold-out shows on Broadway.
After Mott evolved into British Lions, Morgan became a sought-after guest keyboardist, performing with a wide range of artists including Hanoi Rocks, Wayne County & the Electric Chairs, The Dead Kennedys and Spooky Tooth’s Mike Harrison. Inspired by punk’s DIY spirit, he also founded Pipe Music, producing experimental works such as Miniatures – a groundbreaking album featuring one-minute contributions from the likes of Robert Fripp, Robert Wyatt, XTC, The Damned and many others.
In 1982 Morgan toured with Queen on their Hot Space tour, before relocating to Japan, where he established The Handmade Studio. There he composed ambient albums, soundtracks, and collaborated widely, from underground bands to rock superstars. His projects included Echoes of Lennon with Yoko Ono and performances with Haruomi Hosono and Julee Cruise.
In later years Morgan has continued to explore new directions, curating his long-running Morgan’s Organ concerts in Tokyo, performing with Mott the Hoople on their reunion tours, and appearing at tribute concerts for Mick Ronson and Neil Innes.
This special evening offers a rare chance to experience the music, stories, and enduring creativity of an artist who has always followed his own path. Picket up your advance tickets today.
