On Friday, 20th June, Worcester’s Drummonds will be buzzing with an unmissable indie/post-punk showcase, presented by Uncover and Cynical Thrills. Featuring a powerhouse lineup of Skewwhiff, The Humdrum Express, and special guest Tor Pingree, the night promises high-energy performances, unpredictable set orders, and a celebration of grassroots music in its rawest form.

After a string of acoustic shows, Skewwhiff is back in full force, returning to their signature full-band format. Known for their sharp, post-punk edge and captivating live presence, they’re set to deliver a performance packed with intensity, angular rhythms, and fearless energy.

Sharing the spotlight, The Humdrum Express will bring their exhilarating indie sound infused with witty, sardonic storytelling. Whether tackling modern absurdities or spinning sharp lyrical narratives, their music is a heady mix of infectious energy and cleverly crafted lyrics, all amplified by a full-band setup for maximum impact.

With no fixed running order, the night holds a unique twist. The set times will be decided by the flip of a coin, ensuring an exciting and unpredictable flow to the evening’s proceedings!

Opening the show, Tor Pingree sets the tone with her offbeat, uniquely original songwriting. Bringing a mix of sharp lyricism, melodic intrigue, and unconventional charm, Tor’s performance promises to add a dynamic and unexpected element to the night.

Doors open at 7:30 pm, with the venue keeping the party going late after the bands finish. Whether you’re a die-hard post-punk fan, an indie enthusiast, or just looking for a great night of live music, this double-header promises to deliver a thrilling, genre-blending experience.
