A one-off club night for fans of Billie Eilish of all ages is being hosted at the Marrs Bar on Sunday the 8th of June, from 5pm until 7pm.
The early-evening party will see local DJ Ed Steelefox mix the LA-based singer’s biggest and boldest hits, along with deep album cuts and fan favourites, into simply the best 2-hour DJ set possible.
Billie Eilish is due to bring her sold-out Hit Me Hard And Soft tour to the UK in July and so the event offers an opportunity for both those going to her concerts and those who were not able to get tickets, to get into the zone and rock out to her tracks played at high volume and in near darkness.
Featuring video projections, uncensored tracks, strobing and synchronised lighting effects, The Billie Eilish Mixtape will have her fans dancing non-stop and singing at the top of their lungs from the first beat drop to the last vocal line.
Guests are invited to dress however they feel, although day-glow colours are encouraged as UV lighting will bring them to life in the darkness.
Working closely with her brother Finneas, Billie has quickly climbed her own path to super-stardom since her break-out single ‘Ocean Eyes’ went viral when she was only 13. Since then, their cleverly self-produced sound has bridged the worlds of alternative rock, electro and pop, with grungy, gothic and jazzy touches and quality songcraft throughout. Over the last 10 years, their passion and talent for story-telling and hard-hitting lyrics has propelled them from their home-schooled youth of recording in their bedrooms, to global tours and writing songs for the soundtracks of James Bond and Barbie films.
This local event follows three hugely successful Taylor Swift Mixtape events last year, which DJ Ed Steelefox planned and delivered with the artistic direction and support of his daughter. At £10 each (plus £1 booking fee), tickets can purchased via the Marrs Bar website or Facebook event page and guests aged lower than 14 will need to be accompanied by an adult (one adult per two guests under 14 years of age). A firm ID policy will be in operation at the fully-licensed bar but many soft drink options will be available also.
