Poster for Elmslie House Workshops

Another November, another Blue Magpie — but this year, the much-loved makers’ fair at Elmslie House marks a major milestone: its 10th anniversary.

Opening: Friday 14th – Sun 16th Nov, 10.30am–4.00pm
Entry: £3 adults (children free, daily re-entry included)

What began as a modest gathering of a dozen local makers has evolved into one of the region’s most anticipated craft events, drawing exceptional talent from across the UK. Known for its warm atmosphere and carefully curated mix of artisans, Blue Magpie has become synonymous with quality, creativity and community.

To mark the occasion, Elmslie House is unveiling a refreshed logo that ties the fair more closely to its beautiful Malvern home — a nod to the event’s roots and its continued growth as Elmslie’s flagship, home-grown showcase.

New for 2025, visitors can enjoy a Late Night Shopping Preview on Thursday 13th November, from 6.00–9.00pm. Tickets (£8.50) include a glass of mulled wine, a mince pie and free re-entry all weekend. Numbers are limited, so early booking via Eventbrite or the Elmslie House website is advised.

The fair continues through the weekend — Friday 14th to Sunday 16th November, 10.30am–4.00pm, with admission at £3.00 (free for under-16s, and re-entry included). This year, only assistance dogs will be allowed inside the house.

Across the four days, more than 60 makers will exhibit, with a changing line-up so there’s always something new to discover. Thursday’s exhibitors stay on for Friday, before fresh faces join for the weekend.

And, of course, the tea room returns — complete with Anna’s now-legendary scones, cakes, bakes and soups — the perfect accompaniment to a day of festive browsing and handmade inspiration.
