Uncover Music presents a night of fuzz‑soaked chaos, indie‑punk charm and Midlands songwriting talent as Boss Cass headlines The Victoria on Tuesday, 7th April, joined by Trust Club and Reuben Lovett.
South West sensation Boss Cass has become a cult hero of the UK DIY scene: a one‑man punk band armed with nothing but fuzzy guitars, an old‑school ghetto blaster and a level of energy that feels downright feral. Since exploding onto the circuit in 2022, he’s played more than 170 DIY shows, stormed festivals including Glastonbury, Boardmasters, Burn It Down, Leopallooza, Outcider and more, all without management or industry backing.
Sonically, he sits somewhere between Soft Play, Beastie Boys and IDLES, but the attitude, delivery and chaos are unmistakably his own. His live shows are cheeky, sweaty, loud and completely addictive, the kind of set that turns first‑timers into die‑hard fans. With support slots alongside Fat Dog, Heavy Lungs, The Meffs, Carsick, Mother Vulture and multiple BBC Introducing “Artist of the Week” nods, Boss Cass is rapidly becoming a legend of the underground.
Main support comes from Midlands trio Trust Club, who blend slacker‑rock looseness with melodic indie‑punk bite. Goofy onstage but razor‑tight where it counts, they channel lofi grunge, 90s alt‑rock and modern indie influences into something warm, catchy and delightfully scrappy. With two EPs behind them and a debut album in the works, they’ve already shared stages with Speedy Ortiz, Weakened Friends, Snake Eyes, Supermilk and more, and they’re fast becoming one of the region’s most exciting live acts.
Opening the night is West Midlands songwriter Reuben Lovett, whose “folk rock that refuses to be put in a box” blends tenderness, grit and sharp storytelling. His songs move between heartfelt intimacy and modern, genre‑bending edge. The perfect way to ease into an evening of high‑energy alternative music.
A stacked Tuesday night of punk spirit, indie charm and raw Midlands talent, ideal for anyone who loves their live music loud, loose and full of personality.
