Bromsgrove WORDS has been “Bringing the Best of the Spoken and Written Word to Bromsgrove” for 46 years, and its contribution of two Speakers on Politics and Diplomacy to The 2025 Bromsgrove Festival, which starts on Saturday, June 21st, justifies its claim.
At 7.30.p.m. on Friday, July 4th, in the New Guesten Hall at Avoncroft Museum, Stoke Heath, Bromsgrove ( B60 4JR ), Lord Brady of Altrincham, the former Chair of the Conservative 1922 Committee during the most turbulent times in modern political history, and which included the Tory / Liberal Coalition Government, Brexit, Covid, and the election and removal of five Prime Ministers, will be in conversation with Patrick Burns, a previous BBC Political Editor in the West Midlands, about his book “Kingmaker”
And at 11.00.a.m. on Tuesday, July 22nd, also in the New Guesten Hall at Avoncroft Museum, Sir Laurie Bristow, a former U.K. Ambassador to Russia and latterly the last British Ambassador to Afghanistan, will talk about his book “Kabul: Final Call”
