Courtney Hadwin
With Muddibrooke
Thursday, 19th February – The Hare & Hounds, Birmingham
Doors: 7:30 pm
Courtney Hadwin returns to Birmingham this February after a packed-out show at The Victoria last year, bringing one of the most arresting voices in modern rock and soul back to the city.
The Durham-born singer-songwriter has spent the past few years carving out her own path, and 2025 marked a major milestone with the release of her long-awaited debut album, a record that captures her raw power, vulnerability and once-in-a-generation vocal talent.
Many first discovered Hadwin through her viral 2018 America’s Got Talent audition, where a shy 13-year-old transformed into a fearless fireball with a blistering take on Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle.” That moment, now one of the most-watched auditions in the show’s history, set the tone for a career defined by grit, soul and emotional honesty.
Her debut album, written and produced with Grammy-winning songwriter Kevin Bowe in Minneapolis, channels the highs and lows of growing up in the spotlight. Hadwin describes the songs as deeply personal snapshots: moments of chaos, confidence, heartbreak and triumph. It’s the sound of an artist coming into her own, and her live show brings that journey to life with electrifying intensity.
Special guests Muddibrooke open the night with a rare acoustic set. The Derby based alt rock/grunge trio, praised by BBC Radio 1, Kerrang! and Planet Rock, are known for their cathartic songwriting and powerful themes of identity, self‑acceptance and resilience. Their stripped‑back performance will spotlight the emotional core of their music, offering a compelling contrast to their usual full‑throttle sound.
Expect a night of soul shaking vocals, heartfelt storytelling and dynamic performances from two artists who wear their truth loudly and proudly. Tickets on sale now.
