Eades
With Alfresco Love Sounds & Faucet Van Gough
Wednesday, 15th October 2025 – The Victoria, Birmingham
Leeds collective Eades headline The Victoria on 15th October, bringing their jagged, genre-warping take on post-punk to Birmingham’s grassroots heartland. Made up of songwriters, producers, engineers and session musicians, Eades operate like a sonic think tank, fusing rhythmic convulsions, lo-fi textures and sharp lyrical wit into something both chaotic and compelling.
Described by the band as “David Byrne and Lou Reed’s dyslexic child playing out of a Motorola Pebl,” their sound is equal parts art-school absurdity and DIY grit. It’s a collision of New York cool and Northern urgency, stitched together with a restless energy that’s earned them acclaim across the UK’s indie underground.
Joining them is Birmingham’s Alfresco Love Sounds, the dreamy psych-pop project of multi-instrumentalist Tom Ward. With lush arrangements and hypnotic melodies, the band conjure a sound that’s cinematic, immersive and impossible to ignore. Now performing as a full live outfit, they’re poised to make waves far beyond the local scene.
Opening the night are Faucet Van Gough, a rising indie rock act from Birmingham whose raw, melodic sound is quickly gaining traction. Expect tight grooves, jangly guitars and a set that blends introspection with punch.
