Gig Preview: Felicette, Trust Club & Sinews
Friday 22nd May 2026 – The Victoria, Birmingham – Doors: 7:30 pm
Uncover Music brings a triple‑bill of grunge‑pop grit, slacker‑rock charm and post‑hardcore intensity to The Victoria on Friday, 22nd May, as Felicette, Trust Club and Sinews share the stage for a night of loud, melodic and gloriously off‑kilter alternative music.
London quartet Felicette, named after the first cat in space, are carving out their own corner of 90s‑inspired alternative grunge‑pop‑rock. Made up of members from Cheerbleederz, Supermilk and Painter, the band specialise in big guitars, sticky riffs and deadpan lyricism about breakups, panic attacks and the everyday frustrations of modern life.
Their debut EP ‘Go to Hell’ earned BBC Radio 6 Music support, and with a full‑length album on the way in 2026, they’re quickly becoming one of the UK’s most exciting new alt‑rock voices. Unmissable for fans of Juliana Hatfield, The Breeders, Nirvana and Veruca Salt.
Midlands trio Trust Club bring their signature blend of indie, slacker rock and lo-fi grunge warmth. Equal parts goofy and razor‑tight, Ali, Matt and Noah channel classic 90s alternative with a fresh, modern twist.
With two EPs behind them and a debut album in the works, they’ve already shared stages with Speedy Ortiz, Weakened Friends, Snake Eyes, Supermilk, Me Rex and more. Their live sets are known for being euphoric, charming and effortlessly fun, the kind of band that wins over a room within minutes.
Oxford’s Sinews round out the bill with their thoughtful, heavy, unfashionably earnest brand of post‑hardcore. Never macho, always heartfelt, they deliver music that balances intricacy with raw force.
Their EPs ‘Reanimated’ (2024) and ‘Choreography’ (2025) have earned praise from Nightshift Magazine, who highlighted their ability to “find the sweet spot between thoughtful intricacy and musical violence.” Live, they’ve shared stages with Mclusky, Fucked Up, Thank, Cassels, Other Half and more.
A stacked night of grunge‑pop hooks, slacker‑rock joy and post‑hardcore catharsis that’s perfect for anyone who loves their alternative music loud, heartfelt and full of personality.
