The Sunflower Lounge plays host to a night of sharp songwriting, genre‑blending energy and rising Midlands talent as Lucky Number You take the headline slot on Saturday, 7th March, joined by Callum & The Pookies and Darius Zaltash.

Birmingham trio Lucky Number You have carved out a sound that’s both nostalgic and distinctly modern. Drawing from the timeless pull of 80s and 90s pop and rock, they weave synths, hooks and guitar‑driven warmth into something that refuses to sit neatly in one box. Their music nods to the past while feeling entirely rooted in the present: melodic, inventive and unmistakably their own. Expect a set full of colour, charm and clever songwriting.

Lucky Number You – Buried Reputation

Main support comes from Callum & The Pookies, the Telford pop/rock outfit fronted by The Voice UK 2023 finalist Callum Doignie. Formed in 2024, the band has quickly become one of the most talked-about new acts in the West Midlands, blending anthemic pop choruses with rock-leaning energy and emotionally charged lyrics. With festival appearances, a performance alongside Teddy Swims, and singles like Pretend, Break Me Loose, and Fairytale already under their belt, they bring a polished, high‑impact live show that’s winning fans fast.

Opening the night is Bristol based British Iranian artist Darius Zaltash, known for his loud, dance driven electronic rock. As the creative force behind Birmingham’s futuristic outfit The Nu, Zaltash has built a reputation for bold, high‑octane production and emotionally charged songwriting. His work has earned multiple Birmingham Music Award nominations, including Best Band and Best Song, and his solo performances carry that same intensity: dramatic, rhythmic and impossible to ignore.

Three artists, three distinct sounds, one tightly packed night of forward thinking alternative music. A standout date for anyone keeping an eye on the region’s next wave of talent!
