The Blue Lena & Haunted Souls – Double Header
Saturday 18th April 2026 – The Marrs Bar, Worcester
Advance tickets available online
Worcester’s The Marrs Bar plays host to a cracking double bill this April, bringing together two bands flying the flag for rootsy, soulful UK originals: The Blue Lena and Haunted Souls.
Topping the night are The Blue Lena, an original UK rock band steeped in southern rock grit, blues swagger and country-leaning grooves. Featuring local musicians Nick Singleton and Richie Yeates on guitars, alongside the powerhouse vocals of Sarah Warren, the band have been building serious momentum over the past year. Their debut album Darkwood, released in November 2024, landed just ahead of appearances at WinterStorm and Planet Rockstock, and quickly earned glowing praise across the rock press. Classic Rock tipped them as ones to watch in its Hotlist, while Fireworks hailed their sound as “drenched in soul, with a nod to the likes of Free and The Black Crowes”.
Airplay has followed suit, with Planet Rock Radio giving the band strong support — their single Sanctity named Track of the Week on Wyatt Wendels’ show, and DJ Darren Reddick singling The Blue Lena out as his “find of the year”. Expect big riffs, soulful hooks and a band clearly hitting their stride.

Opening the night are Haunted Souls, a Worcestershire-based outfit best described as foot-stomping folk and country with a mischievous streak. Known for winning over audiences up and down the UK, their sets are packed with original material, rich harmonies and no shortage of fun. Think frolics, fiddle-led melodies and, naturally, a few well-placed drinking songs.
Fronted by Sarah Warren on lead vocals, Haunted Souls also feature Zoe Devenish (vocals & fiddle), Nick Lyndon (guitar/mandolin), Chris Clarke (guitar), Colin Edmonds aka Duke Delite (drums) and Andy Harris (double bass). Tracks from their EP One Lie One Tequila have already picked up airtime on BBC Hereford & Worcester and BBC 6 Music, marking them out as a band very much on the rise.
With two acts rooted in strong songwriting, lived-in grooves and bags of personality, this double header promises a proper Saturday night out — loud, lively and proudly local.
