Godsticks
Jiksaw + Rome Is Burning
Friday, 24th April 2026 – The Victoria, Birmingham
Doors: 7:30 pm
Uncover Music presents a night of explosive modern rock and progressive metal, with Godsticks headlining The Victoria on Friday, 24th April, joined by special guests Jiksaw and Rome Is Burning.
Godsticks have travelled a long, shape‑shifting road since first emerging onto the progressive rock scene in 2009. Once described by Metal Hammer as “the UK’s most idiosyncratic rock band,” they broke new ground with their genre‑redefining 2015 album Emergence, a release that earned them international acclaim and a signing with Kscope.
Since then, the band have continued to evolve with Faced With Rage (2017), Inescapable (2020), and This Is What A Winner Looks Like (2023), each album showcasing their signature blend of chugging riffs, intricate solos and a rhythm section that hits with precision and weight. Their live reputation has grown just as fiercely, now recognised as the high energy, razor tight force they always hinted they could become.
After 18 months locked away in the studio, Godsticks return armed with new material from their soon to be announced seventh album, a record they describe as “the toughest and most demanding we’ve ever made,” pushing them to the very limits of their musicianship. Expect a darker, angrier incarnation of the band, ready to unleash a monumental wave of pent up energy.
Main support comes from Jiksaw, a genre twisting DIY rock band known for intense vocals, stratospheric guitars and primal grooves. Their sound elevates modern rock with a fierce, boundary‑pushing edge.
Opening the night are Rome Is Burning, formed in 2024 and already drawing comparisons to Queens of the Stone Age, Velvet Revolver and the golden era of grunge. With them, they bring hook laden, groove driven rock that’s built for big rooms and bigger crowds.
A three band bill of heavy riffs, technical precision and high octane performance: perfect for fans of modern prog, alt rock and anything loud enough to rattle the walls.
