Gig Preview: Katacombs + Leah Wilcox
Sunday 26th April 2026 – The Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham – 7:30 pm
Uncover Music presents an intimate, atmospheric Sunday night as Katacombs headlines The Sunflower Lounge on 26th April, joined by special guest Leah Wilcox.
With roots stretching across Spain, Greece, Miami, Texas and London, Katacombs is an artist shaped by movement, culture and the landscapes she’s called home. Now based between Austin and London, she brings a sound steeped in dark alt‑folk, cinematic storytelling and emotional depth.
For the past three and a half years, she’s toured the world as the keys player for Amigo the Devil, sharpening her voice as both a performer and a writer. Her 2022 EP ‘You Will Not’ introduced her as a compelling new force, and her 2025 debut album ‘Fragments of the Underwater’ dives even deeper, a record built from the places, people and phases that have defined her life so far.
Live, Katacombs is mesmerising: raw yet controlled, intimate yet expansive, weaving her multicultural influences into something haunting, personal and beautifully immersive.
Opening the night is rising Derbyshire artist Leah Wilcox, whose hazy, earthy sound blends countrygaze, indie rock, ambient folk and 70s warmth. Her music feels like a dream half‑remembered: airy, nostalgic and emotionally honest, carried by heartfelt lyricism and a voice that lingers long after the final note.
Leah’s momentum has been unstoppable: BBC Introducing support across the East Midlands, performances at TRUCK, Y Not, Dot to Dot, an HMV in‑store tour, and even opening the main stage at Moseley Folk & Arts Festival. She’s quickly becoming one of the region’s most captivating new songwriters.
A beautifully curated evening of atmospheric alt‑folk, dream‑laden storytelling and cross‑continental artistry that’s perfect for fans of music that feels intimate, transportive and deeply human.
