With just days to go, anticipation is building in Worcester as WR1 – We Are One Events prepares to host a night dedicated to the golden era of Ibiza club culture.
This Saturday (March 14th), the city welcomes Ibiza veteran and house music favourite Andy Manston for a special Old Skool Ibiza – Over 30s Party at Atique Nightclub.
Manston is widely respected across the dance music scene for his long-running association with the legendary Ibiza brand Clockwork Orange, as well as his regular appearances on London’s iconic dance music station Centreforce 88.3. Known for uplifting house sets packed with timeless Ibiza anthems, he has spent decades playing to crowds across the UK and on the White Isle.
Now he brings that authentic Ibiza energy to Worcester for one night only.
Event organiser Matthew Shuker says the aim of the night is simple – recreate the atmosphere that made Ibiza clubbing so special. “This event is about recreating the feeling of Ibiza in its golden era — proper house music, an amazing sound system and a friendly crowd who are there purely for the music and the atmosphere. “These nights are designed specifically for people over 30 who still love the music but want to enjoy it in a safe, welcoming environment with like-minded people.”
Following strong early interest and the recent success of WR1’s previous events, organisers say tickets are selling steadily and are advising anyone planning to attend to secure theirs before the weekend.
The night promises a full soundtrack of classic Ibiza house, uplifting anthems and nostalgic dancefloor moments, all delivered through what organisers describe as one of the most powerful club sound systems in Worcester. For clubbers who remember the golden era — or those who simply want to experience it — this weekend offers a rare chance to relive that magic on the dance floor.
