Green Comedy Night
Friday 6th March – At Spin The Black Circle
The line-up’s locked in and compered by Dave Flynn – a stalwart of the Worcester comedy scene and never shy of a well-timed dig. He’s hand-picked three completely different acts to keep things lively. Expect big laughs, sharp turns and the odd bit of gentle ribbing of the Greens… all coming from a good place, of course.
Opening the night is Kerry James. Following a life-changing breast cancer diagnosis in 2021, she did what any sensible mum would do – horrified her children by taking up stand-up to process it. Since then she’s been gigging across pubs, clubs and festivals throughout the Midlands and beyond. Kerry delivers witty observations, razor-sharp anecdotes and brilliantly relatable midlife humour. She shines a light on tough subjects with warmth and empathy – sometimes shocking, always funny.

Bristol Comedy Chest winner and Half Baked Comedy Club MC Ellis Howard brings bags of energy and a deliciously dry irony that keeps audiences laughing while wondering exactly where the line is. Occasionally outrageous, occasionally heartfelt, but consistently entertaining.
Rounding things off is Max Ponsonby – a 27-year-old ADHD, bisexual rising star of the UK circuit and, by his own admission, a bit of a hot mess. Armed with a decidedly posh name and fresh from a sold-out run at the Rik Mayall Festival, Max spins absurd, high-speed tales taking in Home Bargains, Batman and general debauchery. The only question is whether he’ll still be employed by the end of it.
