Hattie Whitehead is an acclaimed UK singer-songwriter, praised for both her solo work and as frontwoman of Hejira, the band honouring the legacy of Joni Mitchell. Known for her crystal-clear, honeyed vocals and lush, folk-tinged sound, Hattie writes with striking honesty and warmth.

This UK tour, taking in Leominster, Bewdley and Brdgnorth, sees Hattie performing tracks from her debut album Bloom (Oct 2024), a moving exploration of grief, mental health, and womanhood in the music industry – all delivered with her signature blend of vulnerability, empathy and hope.

Born into a creative family – her father, celebrated jazz saxophonist Tim Whitehead, and her late mother, a poet – Hattie was raised on the likes of Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake, alongside modern influences such as Angel Olsen and Wolf Alice. Her music bridges classic and contemporary singer-songwriter styles.

Following her 2015 Home EP and Glastonbury Emerging Talent nomination, she’s released two more EPs (Old Soul, Mechanism) and earned fans including Elbow’s Guy Garvey, who invited her to record for the Apple TV series Trying.

Alongside recent acclaim with Hejira, including a BBC 6 Music feature and glowing Jazzwise review, Hattie has had a busy year – supporting Indigo Girls, appearing at Sidmouth Fringe, and previewing Bloom at headline shows including London’s The Grace.
