Acclaimed British artist and designer Rob Draper has been awarded a prestigious University Fellowship in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the arts and creative industries.
The University of Worcester bestows fellowships on individuals who have made a lasting impact in their field or to wider society, and whose values reflect the University’s ethos.
Draper has previously collaborated with Worcester students, most notably on a large-scale mural at the University’s Severn Campus for Health and Wellbeing, celebrating the city’s rich musical heritage.
Internationally admired for his bold and inventive approach, Draper is celebrated for his hand lettering and experimental design. His eclectic, analogue-led process embraces imperfection, spontaneity and craftsmanship – qualities that have attracted a diverse roster of clients including The Golden Globes, Meta, NASA/JOL, Nike, Levi’s, Gap, Samsung, Penguin, Pentagram, Sunglass Hut and WWF.

Speaking of the honour, Draper said:
“It is a huge honour to be awarded a Fellowship by the University of Worcester. Creativity has the power to connect, to challenge, and to transform, and I look forward to continuing to share that journey with students, the University, and the wider community.”
His work has been widely profiled in international media alongside numerous books and publications on contemporary art and design.
