‘Lights, Camera… Paint’ 2025 – a movie-themed city art trail
23rd – 29th August – Worcester City Centre
Worcester Film Festival and Artists Clubhouse have announced the return of their much-loved film-inspired art trail, Lights, Camera… Paint, now entering its fourth year. Launching over the August Bank Holiday, the trail will run from 23 August to 28 September 2025, transforming Worcester city centre into an open-air gallery in the lead-up to the 5th Worcester Film Festival.
This year’s theme, Worcester Goes to the Movies, invites local creatives, charities and community groups to produce striking, cinema-inspired artworks – including imaginative, movie-style posters – that celebrate the enduring connection between art and film.
The project is made possible through generous support from Worcester City Council, Councillor Mel Allcott, and local business Bluebox Software. Funding has enabled the return of the popular movie-themed activity sheet, hands-on poster-making workshops, and increased involvement from local charities.
A judging panel made up of this year’s funders and supporters will select three standout artists, with winners chosen for originality, creativity, visual appeal and audience impact. Prizes include passes to the Worcester Film Festival, goodie bags from Artists Clubhouse, and more.
Emily Johnson, founder of Artists Clubhouse and creator of the online wellbeing course Creating Your Happy, said:
“We want to empower people of all abilities to get involved with art. Creativity is a powerful tool to support wellbeing, build confidence, and bring communities together.”
With a shared passion for opening up opportunities in the creative industries and promoting positive wellbeing through art, Worcester Film Festival and Artists Clubhouse continue to prove a perfect partnership.
Trail maps will be available for residents and visitors to follow. More information can be found at Artists Clubhouse website. For festival updates and tickets, visit the Worcester Film Festival website.
