Zo Lief headline the Hare & Hounds on Thursday, 9th October, inviting audiences into their kaleidoscopic world of swirling synths, fuzzy guitars and velvety vocals. The trio, led by musical and romantic partners Laura Chen and James Attwood, blends elements of psychedelia, dream pop, chamber pop and garage rock into a sound that’s hypnotic, cinematic and emotionally rich.

Their debut EP ‘Believe What You Believe’, produced by James Bagshaw of Temples, showcases the band’s knack for melodic hooks and poetic lyricism, wrapped in retro-futuristic textures. Live, Zo Lief conjures a sonic landscape that’s both whimsical and weighty, with heavenly harmonies meeting heavy-hearted grooves in a set that’s as imaginative as it is immersive.

Joining them are Birmingham’s own Heavy Focus, a rising four-piece whose blend of indie folk and alternative textures draws inspiration from Alvvays, Big Thief and The Smiths. With intricate songwriting and emotive melodies, their set promises introspective beauty and understated power.

Zo Lief – Hypnosis

Opening the night is Bo Bardot, performing a set that pairs haunting vocals with raw, heartfelt lyricism. Often compared to a female Jeff Buckley, her performance is sure to deliver moments of quiet intensity and soaring emotion.
