Terrestrial – 2020 Remote Residencies: Open Call

Terrestrial commissions and produces ambitious arts projects in the south west of England. We have a new paid opportunity on offer for community artists across England to develop their local connections and explore new ways of working.

We want to invest in artists to foster community links with people and groups local to wherever they are based. And to take some time for research and reflection… to think about the work they’ve done in the past and how they might continue to share artistic experiences with community collaborators in the near future.

Deadline: Friday 24th July, 5pm.

Further information can be found via this link Terrestrial – 2020 Remote Residencies: Open Call and if you have any questions, or would like someone to talk you through the opportunity, please email producer Hattie Gregory: hattie@terrestrial.org.uk

The Jerwood/FVU Awards – Call for Entries

The Jerwood/FVU Awards are a major opportunity for moving-image artists in the first five years of their practice, a collaboration between Jerwood Arts and Film and Video Umbrella in partnership with Leeds Art Gallery.

Early-career artists are invited to make proposals for ambitious new works in any form of the moving-image. The scheme is looking for original and achievable proposals for a new moving-image work that will represent a step-change in the applicant’s practice.

The two awarded artists will receive £25,000 each, comprising a £6,000 artist fee and £19,000 production budget to create the proposed moving-image artwork. Proposals must demonstrate clear thinking about how the project may need to be adapted due to circumstances and restrictions to activities in relation to coronavirus (COVID-19).

Applications close on at 1pm, 20 July 2020. For further information please see https://www.jerwoodfvuawards.com/
