Tewkesbury Record Fair
Sunday 1st June 2025
Wheatpieces Community Centre
How many of you don’t believe Christmas has arrived until you hear A Fairy Tale of New York by the Pogues, I wonder? Did you know that a wayward Shane MacGowan needed to be locked in his hotel room to ensure he finally finished writing the song? I only witnessed the Pogues once, in their heyday, and the experience is ingrained on my memory…
At Tewkesbury Record Fair, music is central to everything!

On the 1st of June we return to the fantastic Wheatpieces Community Centre offering a host of traders, sellers, dealers and curators. The welcoming phalanx will be presenting a spectrum of vinyl (and cds) from Soul, to pop, to blues, to reggae, to rock, to 80s, to punk and most genres in between. Expect anecdotes, stories, gossip and reminisces of a musical bent as, “oh boy,” can our loquacious bunch talk.
Talking of the Fair’s venue, as our regulars will attest, the building is an impressive home for our Fairs. The onsite carpark, coupled with the parking adjacent, is handy and allows for accessibility for ALL. The room is spacious, modern and a joy to spend five hours in – looking through vinyl gems.
Our precious Fair starts punctually at 10am and runs through to 3pm. Our tariff is only a quid for the chance to enjoy an ambience that is steeped in our obsession with music. Hopefully the sun will help us out to ensure the day is memorable for all the right reasons. Hopefully, storm Darragh will be but a distant memory…
When the sun appears regularly and the nights grow longer and the car window is wound down and “Come on Eileen” by Dexys is played on the car radio, well, storm Darragh can pogue mahone.
Tewkesbury Record Fair will be celebrated on 1st June 2025 at the venerable Wheatpieces Community Centre, Columbine Road, Walton Cardiff, Tewkesbury, GL20 7SP.
