Gig Preview: Dredge, Zilch, Sideborg & Hipflask Virgins
Saturday, 20th December – The Sunflower Lounge, Birmingham
Doors Open: 7:30 pm

The Sunflower Lounge closes out the year with a blistering night of noise, riffs and chaos featuring four West Midlands bands who thrive on pushing boundaries.

Leading the night is Midlands duo Dredge, a sludge-punk powerhouse making “noise you can taste.” Their chaotic energy and visceral sound demand earplugs and emotional stamina, promising a set that’s as intense as it is unforgettable.

Joining them is Zilch, an alt-rock trio that blurs the lines between punk aggression, Seattle-style sludge, and pop sensibility. Expect heavy grooves with hooks that cut through the grit.

South Birmingham’s Sideborg bring their groove metal/grunge fusion to the stage, delivering unpredictable shifts and high-energy performances for fans of Primus, Korn and Deftones.

Opening the night are Hipflask Virgins, a gnarly two-piece riff-rock outfit influenced by Nirvana, Queens of the Stone Age and Death From Above 1979. Their raw riffs and pounding drums will have heads bobbing until necks snap.

This is a night built for those who like their music loud, dirty and uncompromising. Tickets on sale now.
