Newcastle trio Dunes headline The Victoria on Thursday, 23rd October, delivering a night of thunderous riffs, desert rock grit and alt-rock swagger. Known for their fusion of stoner heaviness and melodic hooks, Dunes channel the raw energy of 90s generator parties and the sweat-soaked chaos of the grunge era, all wrapped in a haze of fuzz and feedback.
With the release of their new album, Land of the Blind, the band are riding a wave of momentum. Their sound, described as “stoner rock at its absolute best” by Moshville Times, has earned praise for its haunting guitar work, Sabbath-style basslines and explosive live presence.
Joining them are Flamebearer, a four-piece heavy rock outfit whose blistering sound is built on power, precision and pure volume. Expect relentless riffs, pounding drums and a set that doesn’t let up.
Opening the night are Worcester’s own punk veterans Fights & Fires, who’ve been tearing up stages across Europe since 2008. With three albums, numerous EPs, and even a hot sauce to their name, their shows are known for high energy, big heart, and a healthy dose of chaos.
