Gig Preview: PREYRS
With Simulation Theory + Luceith
Thursday, 7th May – The Victoria, Birmingham – Doors: 7:30 pm
Uncover Music presents a night of ferocity, atmosphere and uncompromising alternative rock as PREYRS headline The Victoria on Thursday, 7th May, joined by special guests Simulation Theory and Luceith.
Born from the creative partnership of Belfast rock artist Amy Montgomery and drummer/producer Michael Mormecha, PREYRS are a visceral new force blending raw alternative rock with the weight and intensity of modern metal. Their sound is a collision of aggression and euphoria, resulting in gothic and emotionally charged anthems.
Recently signed to Berlin’s Pelagic Records, the band are gearing up to release their debut album: a cathartic exploration of pain, transformation and survival. Their debut single ‘Wave of Wisdom’ captures everything PREYRS stand for: soaring vocals, crushing heaviness and a sense of healing forged through fire.
Amy Montgomery’s presence alone is a spectacle, leading to nominations for Best Live Act and Best Artist at the Northern Ireland Music Prize. She’s often described as “otherworldly” and “a force of nature.” So, if you’re drawn to music that’s epic, emotional and unrelenting, PREYRS are the band to watch.
Birmingham’s Simulation Theory bring melodic hard rock with a modern edge. Formed in 2019, they’ve been steadily building momentum with shows across the city and the release of their debut singles ‘No Good Girls’ (2024) and ‘On The Run’ (2025). Expect big hooks, driving riffs and a polished, high energy sound.
Opening the night are West Midlands alt‑metal outfit Luceith, one of the region’s most feral rising bands. Their melodic yet heavy approach explores trauma, healing and emotional release, delivering a set that’s both cathartic and crushing.
A powerful triple‑bill of dark alt‑rock, melodic hard rock and feral Midlands metal, perfect for fans of music that hits hard, digs deep and refuses to hold back.
