Free Spooky Art Exhibition: House of Horrors
The Artery Studios, Arch 28, Croft Road, Worcester

From Wednesday 21st to Sunday 25th October.
Opening times are 10am–6pm Wednesday to Saturday and 11am–4pm on Sunday.

Worcester’s creative community is getting into the Halloween spirit as Artists Clubhouse returns with House of Horrors, a free exhibition of spooky art, handmade treasures and seasonal creativity at The Artery Studios from 21st–25th October.

Following last year’s show, which featured more than 50 local artists and makers, Arch 28 on Croft Road will once again be transformed into a celebration of all things autumnal and eerie. Expect everything from beautiful seasonal artwork to creations guaranteed to send a shiver down your spine, alongside a ‘scary shop’ packed with original, handmade pieces from independent local creatives.

But there’s more to House of Horrors than a few ghosts and ghouls. Artists Clubhouse is committed to supporting creatives at every stage of their journey, giving artists and makers the opportunity to showcase and sell their work, sometimes for the very first time. The organisation also offers coaching for creative small businesses, helping people build confidence, connect with customers and turn their passion into a living.

Founder Emily Johnson sees the exhibition as a chance to embrace the changing seasons while bringing people together.

Now in its third year, House of Horrors offers a welcoming, community-minded space for creatives of all backgrounds and abilities to share their work, make connections and build friendships. It’s also a family-friendly event, with free colouring sheets for younger visitors and a programme of workshops and activities throughout the week.

These include Wreath-making with Jo Henderson on Wednesday 21st October, a Make Your Own Tarot Card session with Anxious Explorers on Thursday 22nd, and drop-in mini tarot readings with @the_amethyst_witch_uk on Saturday 24th. Booking is required for the workshops, while readings are available for a fee.

Artists Clubhouse will also host a Halloween party for exhibiting artists and members of the local community, providing another opportunity for creatives who often work alone to meet, share ideas and support one another.

With free entry, original artwork and a distinctly local spirit, House of Horrors offers a welcome excuse to explore Worcester’s independent creative scene this Halloween.

Entry to the exhibition is free, although some workshops and activities are bookable or chargeable.
