Live & Local continues it’s Spring 2023 Season of Live Shows in Rural Worcestershire

Live & Local is excited to announce its upcoming Spring 2023 season of professional performances, showcasing enchanting theatre, award-winning music, and laugh-out-loud comedy in community venues throughout Worcestershire. With over thirty years of experience bringing surprising shows to unexpected places, Live & Local is dedicated to supporting local volunteers in bringing exciting and awe-inspiring performances suitable for all ages to a community venue or village hall near you.

According to Laura Bagley, Programme Administrator at Live & Local, the new season promises to feature a wide range of indoor and outdoor shows, from music to comedy, storytelling to dance, film to theatre. With the longer evenings of spring on the horizon, there’s never been a better time to come out and enjoy some great entertainment right on your doorstep.

Some of the exciting shows on offer include the UK premiere of The Swearing Jar, a bittersweet comedy featuring heartbreak, humour, and songs at Malvern Cube on Saturday 1st April. Also on offer is Amy Gwilliam’s MUMMY – The Art of Saying Goodbye, described as “brilliantly conceived, directed, and performed” by Fringe Review, on Saturday 18th February.

For music lovers, following on from from Latchepen in Concert at St Swithun’s Church, there are two evenings of captivating music at the popular venue; Bonfire Radicals (header photo)on Friday 31st March), and Kelly Oliver in Concert on Saturday 22nd April.

The Stourport Civic Hall will also feature One of Them Ones, a new play from Pentabus Theatre, described by The Guardian as “one of British theatre’s unsung treasures,” on Thursday 20th April, before it moves to Malvern Cube on Friday 21st April. And for something truly unique, don’t miss Despite Everything, Price Still Includes Biscuits, a one-woman comedy-cabaret featuring original songs, topical stories, and Jewish humour by Naomi Paul at Rous Lench Village Hall on Saturday 22nd April.
