Worcester Music Festival has officially opened artist applications for 2026, inviting musicians of all genres to apply to perform across the city from Friday, 11th to Sunday, 13th September. As always, the festival will raise money for a local cause, and this year’s chosen charity is ONSIDE, whose work supporting vulnerable adults across Worcestershire will be at the heart of the festival’s fundraising efforts.
A staple of the region’s cultural calendar, Worcester Music Festival will once again take over more than 20 venues throughout the city centre, showcasing close to 300 artists across three days. The event is entirely volunteer‑run, with performers donating their time to support the festival’s annual charity partner.
For 2026, the committee selected ONSIDE, a Worcestershire charity providing advocacy, mentoring, wellbeing support and specialist services for adults who may be vulnerable, disadvantaged or facing discrimination. Their team supports more than 12,000 people each year, ensuring fairness, dignity and a voice for those who need it most.
Alice Braddick, CEO at ONSIDE, said:
“We are absolutely delighted that ONSIDE has been chosen as Charity of the Year for this year’s Worcester Music Festival. The funds raised will make a vital difference to those who are struggling with significant mental health and wellbeing challenges. We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in organising and supporting the festival.”
With the charity partnership confirmed, the festival is now turning its focus to building its 2026 line‑up.
Festival Director Ant Robbins commented:
“We’re now inviting musicians of all genres to apply to perform at this year’s festival. Every year we’re blown away by the generosity of artists who give their time to raise money for important causes, and we can’t wait to curate another incredible line‑up. Supporting the local community is at the heart of what we do, and ONSIDE’s work embodies that spirit.”
Artists can apply through the online form on the festival’s website. Submissions will be reviewed by a team of local promoters, who will curate a diverse programme spanning pubs, grassroots venues, galleries, independent shops and community spaces. Last year’s festival featured more than 300 performances and attracted thousands of visitors to the city. To apply to perform or learn more about visit the Worcester Music Festival website.
