Music Spoken Here presents
Allexa Nava
The Marr’s Bar, 12 Pierpoint Street, Worcester WR1 1TA
Thursday 27th November 2025, 7:30pm
The young, Peruvian contemporary jazz saxophonist Allexa Nava brings her UK ‘No Language’ tour to a close with a concert at The Marr’s Bar in Worcester on Thursday 27th November. It will mark the third West Midlands date on the tour that has seen Nava perform in London, Bishops Castle, Luton, Birmingham, Brighton, Leeds, Bristol and Sheffield.
Nava started playing saxophone at high school in Peru and studied classical saxophone at the national conservatoire in her home country. After moving to the UK, she started to develop her love for contemporary jazz, through the London-based artist development charity organisation Tomorrow’s Warriors. In a recent interview with the event’s promoter Music Spoken Here, Nava explained that she was drawn to jazz as it allows her to express herself more freely and connect with the music, compared with the stricter constraints associated with classical music. The full video interview is available on the Music Spoken Here YouTube channel.
Nava continued her studies at London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire and released her debut EP ‘No Language’ in February featuring five original compositions that has formed the basis of this tour. She will be performing her energetic, contemporary jazz fusion with her quartet featuring Cody Moss on keys, Jai Patel on trombone and Cassius Cobbson on drums.
Doors open at 7:30pm for an 8pm start. Admission is ‘pay what you can’ on the door, with a suggested contribution of £15. For more information visit the Music Spoken Here website.
