They have been working away trying to put new processes in place to get the Wellbeing Studio back up and running and are working on delivering these into your home in a remote way so people can log into a closed Zoom group online. Keep an eye on our social media for updates on when sessions will be running.
New Courses (through Worcester County Council Adult Learning Service, delivered remotely):
Create a Mandala (3 week course) – going through creating your own Mandala pattern.
Working With Paper – 2D Notan technique this is a one off session for 2 hours exploring Notan technique and paper cutting using symmetry and form.

Yew Trees Artist Studio
Visitors can see work being made, chat with the artists and view completed artwork in a shared gallery space. Mixed media artist Susan Birth, abstract artist Dan Holden and fine art photographer Richard Nicholls have occupied these new studio spaces since 1 August 2020.
Yew Trees Artist Studios are located in a peaceful rural setting on the premises of Bevere Gallery just off the A449 north of Worcester and are open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 – 16.00.

‘Colour Unleashed’ – rescheduled dates
An exhibition shared with Worcester artists Susan Birth, Cherrie Mansfield and Caroline Hall at Elmslie House in Malvern. The exhibition has been rescheduled for 2021: 26 March to 12 April.
Dancefest new class
Gentle Chance to Dance seated class (55+)
A dance class of uplifting movement and music for anyone living with a disability or long-term condition, or who would prefer a gentler approach to keeping healthy. The class usually takes place seated but you can also stand if you’d like to, using your chair as a support.

Worcester Porcelain and the Arts of Islam
The Museum of Royal Worcester invites people to see stunning objects and archive material not usually on show in a brand-new display exploring ‘Worcester porcelain and the Arts of Islam: creativity, commerce, and exchange’, which opens at the Museum on Saturday 10th October.
The following Saturday, (17th October at 2pm) audiences can join an ONLINE Facebook Live Q&A event with the curator Fuchsia Hart where she will be handling and talking in detail about some of the exhibits and discussing her research into the fascinating links between Worcester’s porcelain factories and the Islamic world.
Local artists make big splash in city centre
Talented artists are converting empty shop windows into an outdoor art gallery in the heart of Worcester.
From early Autumn, you’ll be able to spot work by Yasmin Hood, Ivan Maxwell Jones, Mia Rawlinson, Andrew Round, Sarah Millin, Michelle Flint, Mark Reilly and Cherrie Mansfield around the city.
Worcester City Council, Worcester BID and Severn Arts have jointly commissioned the artists to create engaging designs which will bring new life to the retail units and give inspiration and enjoyment to the city’s residents and visitors.
The Elephants are coming…..
Worcester’s Big Parade has announced their first call for contributors to next year’s public art trail.
They are looking for dazzling elephant designs which bring the same joy and buzz to the city that we saw back in 2018 when giraffes took to our streets and public spaces.
Anyone can submit designs – from established artists, to those who are, as yet, undiscovered. Each elephant sculpture is a three-dimensional blank canvas and will hold a wide range of media – from graffiti to mosaic, fine art and even metalwork. Entries close on Friday 8th January 2021.
