Get ready for a night of irresistible grooves as two of the UK’s finest funk-infused live acts hit the stage.
Worcester’s Desert Boots are an upbeat four-piece serving up dusty funk breaks, deep-cut soul and infectious rhythms built for the dancefloor. Blending Northern Soul, jazz, funk, soul and electronica into their own distinctive sound, they’ve earned a reputation for high-energy live shows, with appearances at Nozstock, Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Stagfest. They’re buzzing to return to The Marrs Bar and get the room moving once again.
Joining them are Cantaloop, whose signature blend of organic funk and digital beats has evolved into a slick, genre-hopping live experience. Fusing live instrumentation with cut-and-paste production techniques, they bring their self-described mix of ‘Ol Skool, New Flavour’ to audiences across clubs, festivals and venues. Drawing on funk, punk, soul, jazz and hip hop, Cantaloop continue to push their sound forward while staying rooted in the grooves that inspired them.
