To celebrate the release of his tenth studio album ‘Split The Sheets’, Sunjay returns to St. George’s Hall, Bewdley for a special album launch concert on Friday 18th September 2026.

The show will feature material from ‘Split The Sheets’ alongside songs drawn from across his ten-album catalogue, celebrating a recording career that now spans more than fifteen years.

‘Split The Sheets’ is the culmination of a journey that began with ‘Black & Blues Revisited’ (2022) and continued through the critically acclaimed Chris Smither homage ‘I’m Just Like You’ (2024). Together, those records explored the music and songwriters that helped shape Sunjay as an artist, and the new album ‘Split The Sheets’ completes that story.

Make A Little Room – Sunjay

Fresh from a successful UK tour, international appearances in the Czech Republic and Germany, and a recent live performance on Cerys Matthews’ Blues Show on BBC Radio, Sunjay returns with his biggest, boldest and most sonically adventurous record to date.

‘Split The Sheets’ is an album about love. The excitement of new beginnings, the thrill of attraction, commitment, devotion, jealousy, heartbreak, humour, lust, regret, longing and loss. The light and the shade.

For fourteen songs, Sunjay explores every corner of the human experience through material written by some of the greatest songwriters of the last seventy years, including Stephen Bruton, Chris Smither, Townes Van Zandt, Jimmy Reed, Stan Rogers, Buddy Holly, Bo Diddley and Lyle Lovett.

For more than fifteen years, Sunjay has quietly built a reputation as one of the UK’s most accomplished live performers. A former BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award finalist, he has shared stages with Steeleye Span, Fairport Convention, Curved Air, Mud Morganfield amongst others, while developing a loyal audience throughout the UK and Europe. Whether appearing solo with an acoustic guitar or fronting a full band, Sunjay brings the same intensity, musicianship and emotional honesty to every stage he steps onto.

Ten albums into his career, Sunjay sounds more assured, more distinctive and more compelling than ever. ‘Split The Sheets’ may have its roots in the songs and artists that inspired him, but it feels very much like the beginning of the next chapter.

Support on the night comes from the talented young Bewdley based duo, Lotus Grove.
