Bromsgrove WORDS Crime Writing Evening
Thursday, June 25 at Bromsgrove Library
As part of National Crime Reading Month, Bromsgrove WORDS will present an evening celebrating the art of crime fiction later this month, bringing together three acclaimed authors for a discussion on writing, reading and the enduring appeal of the genre.
The event, which forms part of the wider Bromsgrove Festival programme, will give readers the opportunity to hear from bestselling and award-winning writers Sarah Hilary, Linda Mather and Daniel Sellers, who will discuss their favourite crime novels, the influences behind their own work and the craft of creating compelling mysteries.
Led in a conversational format, the evening promises an insight into the world of crime writing, from developing characters and plots to exploring what keeps readers coming back to the genre. Audience members will also have the chance to put questions to the authors during the event.
The talk begins at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £15 and are available online. Free parking is available in nearby public car parks after 6pm.
The event is one of a number of activities taking place during National Crime Reading Month, which celebrates crime fiction and encourages readers to discover new authors and titles throughout June.
