‘TALL TALES AND OTHER STUFF’ is taking place in Shambles Fine Art in Worcester from 24th to 29th August, and will feature around 40 of Peter’s paintings completed over the last three decades. Over this time, he has exhibited widely, including in London and the RWA in Bristol. Peter now lives and paint full-time in Worcester.
Most of his work has been concerned with recording and analysing the absurdity of the world in which we are condemned to exist, though not without a certain level of humour at times. With a background in Science and Mathematics and his enduring fascination with the History of Art has been a strong influence on his work.
Peter produces paintings in a figurative style, working mainly in oils applied in thin glazes, and with printed material and other objects occasionally subsumed into the paint surface.
