A night of hazy psych‑groove, pretentious indie bite and funk‑pop colour hits The Victoria on Thursday, 21st May, as Common Goldfish headline, joined by special guests Faucet Van Gough and Perspective.

London’s Common Goldfish is the brainchild of Tottenham producer, songwriter and multi‑instrumentalist Jonty Lovell, whose underground project has grown from spontaneous skatepark sets into a fully fledged four‑piece live force.

Blending Britpop swagger, funk‑driven basslines, breakbeats, warped synths and 90s electronica, Common Goldfish creates a sound that feels like a half‑remembered night out: nostalgic, woozy and full of warmth.

Common Goldfish – Let It All Go Away

Their debut album ‘Walk in the Park’ captures that feeling perfectly, delivering a sun‑drenched, slightly surreal soundtrack for navigating modern life when nothing quite adds up. Born from late‑night conversations, worn‑out speakers and the strange beauty of everyday chaos, it’s a record that’s both lost and luminous.

With praise from BBC Introducing, showcases at The Great Escape’s First Fifty, and packed shows at Camden Assembly and Peckham Audio, the band is quickly becoming one of the UK’s most intriguing psych‑leaning acts.

Faucet Van Gough bring their self‑described “pretentious indie music” to the bill that’s full of sharp, self‑aware and dripping with attitude. Expect angular guitars, sardonic charm and a set that leans into the theatrical side of indie performance.

Birmingham four‑piece Perspective. deliver a vibrant blend of funk‑pop, disco and groove‑heavy energy. Known for their lively shows and feel‑good rhythms, they’re the perfect opener for a night built on movement, colour and big personality.

A Thursday night bursting with psych grooves, indie eccentricity and funk‑pop sparkle, ideal for anyone who wants their live music vibrant, danceable and just a little bit strange.
