In 2022, Slinky Machine unleashed their album ‘Choose Your Froot,’ igniting their ascent in the UK music scene. Following up with electrifying performances at the Sidmouth and Rye Jazz & Blues festivals alongside The Brand New Heavies in 2023, their momentum continues to soar.
Worcester’s jazz, funk, and soul catalysts, Music Spoken Here, are thrilled to host this phenomenal band from the southwest of England for their West Midlands debut. Expect an eclectic blend of original compositions, fusion classics, and contemporary re-imaginings as Slinky Machine takes the stage.
Founded by guitarist John Robertson (of The Selecter fame) and bassist Pete Earle, this extraordinary show features a special guest appearance by the remarkable Brazilian percussionist, Caio Mamberti. Mamberti’s illustrious career includes performances alongside icons like Stevie Wonder, Tania Maria, Paulinho da Viola, and Monica Passos. For the past two years, Music Spoken Here has been the beacon of contemporary live jazz, funk, and soul in Worcester, hosting bi-monthly shows at The Marr’s Bar.
