Zilch are set to take over The Marrs Bar on Friday, 20th June, for a night of loud, unrelenting energy as they celebrate the release of their new EP, Cognitive Distortions. Distorted guitars, fuzzy bass, and hard-hitting drums collide with melodies and screams to create a sound likened to Kerbdog, Reuben, Quicksand, and Nirvana.
Supporting them are some of the finest underground names in alternative rock. Nuns of the Tundra bring a fierce mix of Queens of the Stone Age-style riffs, Royal Blood groove, and a touch of Doom Eternal intensity, promising electric live energy.
Hipflask Virgins step up as a gnarly groove-grunge two-piece, channelling DFA 1979, Nirvana, and a heavier Royal Blood, delivering raw energy and relentless drum beats.
Finally, Heavy Peace, a new incarnation on Worcester’s thriving scene, rounds out the lineup. These purveyors of noise with a sound that feels like PigsX7, Soundgarden, and Mastodon tangled together in a sonic whirlwind.
With Cognitive Distortions, Zilch are refining their raw, dynamic sound, pushing their distorted, high-impact style to new heights. The EP blends unfiltered aggression with nuanced melodies, capturing their signature balance between chaos and control. Expect a live set packed with both fresh material and crowd favourites, ensuring an evening of unrelenting intensity that keeps the audience hooked from start to finish.
This is a lineup stacked with grit and power, with each band bringing something distinct to the table. Tickets are available now for what promises to be an unforgettable night of heavy riffs, charged performances, and a celebration of raw musical force.
