Meadow Arts

Meadow Arts are a contemporary visual arts charity covering the West Midlands region. We are about to start a programme that will help us develop our digital offer so that we can work with more children and young people than ever, whether or not social distancing remains or becomes a distant memory!

We are looking for a group(s) of young people aged 9-19 to work with from mid-July to mid-October to act as our critical friends, tech-testers and digital creatives. We will be supported by industry professionals who specialise in developing and testing safe and user-friendly virtual arts packages. We need to partner with a pilot group while we undertake this work to build skills and develop a strong, user-led approach to our digital service delivery.

The programme is called Explore and is supported by by Comic Relief and Paul Hamlyn Foundation, and delivered in partnership with CAST (Driving Social Change with Digital Tech). If you’d like to join us, or find out more, please email clare@meadowarts.org asap and by Friday 19th June.

Calling All Arty 5-9 Year Olds!

Meadow Arts are working with Arts Connect to deliver a series of Discover Level Arts Awards online over the coming weeks. We are seeking up to 20 children aged 5-9 years old, individuals or groups from a school, cubs, brownies, youth club or similar. The programme will involve 3 online workshops delivered anytime between now and mid-September. The sessions will be led by a professional, DBS checked artist and will work best in situations where there is an adult leader to help guide the children along.

Arts Award is an accreditation system that can run alongside other school work and still count towards grades. By joining us there would be no cost to your group and every child would receive an Arts Award Discover Certificate at the end. If you are interested, or would like to find out more please email steve@meadowarts.org by 25 June.
