Worcester Fringe Festival
Friday 23 July – Sunday 1 August

Worcester Live, in association with the University of Worcester and Bransford Trust will be bringing together a wealth of entertainment this month as they take over the city with the debut of Worcester Fringe Festival

The event will run from Friday 23rd July – Sunday 1st August and will take over 4 of Worcester’s most popular performance venues, including Swan Theatre, Huntingdon Hall, Henry Sandon Hall and Vesta Tilley Studio plus a huge schedule of free performances taking place outside in the Courtyard at Royal Porcelain Works.

The festival will see a variety of shows ranging from outdoor acoustic sets to live theatre and will offer a platform to new emerging artists offering a mix of light-hearted entertainment and shows alongside hard- hitting and raw performances which delve into important topics.

As part of the festival there will be many family events such as crafting, theatre shows like the popular Horrible Histories and a theatre bike, which is a unique way to experience theatre and storytelling through pop up performances. Imagine all the fun of the theatre bursting from the inside of a box carried on the front of a bike; props, costumes, puppets and joy will be brought to audiences as they are taken on a journey to the theatre open air.

The festival will include a number of film screenings, including an outdoor screening of Great Gatsby, which will have a Roaring 20s Hollywood theme, that includes a cocktail on arrival, a walk down the red carpet and audiences will be seated in directors chairs.
