Birmingham based Y!KES are the alternative rock quartet that everybody needs in their life. Returning with their latest release, a music video for single ‘Repeat the Objective’ taken off their recently released EP ‘Everything Pointless is Correct (EP!C)’, the outfit are certainly raising eyebrows around the country. In a good way, of course.

Y!KES – Repeat the Objective

Exploding onto the scene and refusing anything other than first place, the single is grit filled and the kind of track you’d be jumping around to at a live show (remember those good ol’ days), but for now, in your bedroom. Directed by Zak Taylor, the concept, storyboard and costume design for the video was created by vocalist Oli Long and guitarist Liam Howard. Located at SS Creative in Birmingham, the visuals captivate a young band energetically getting their point across. To go with the single nicely, the fast paced music video highlights the band performing the track while, what seems to be, on a wild goose chase.

Once this isolation is over, go see this band live. They’re ready for a stadium with their huge sound. For now, stick the EP on repeat to keep you company through quarantine.
